Something else that we’ve noticed in discussions about the new season from the show’s producers is that they’re still apparently actively researching their work and always trying to ensure that their show is accurate and portrays all of its events appropriately and in a believable way.
This actually matters more than most people imagine, as various fans of “Vikings” enjoy it exactly because it does a good job at showing its world in an authentic manner and presenting stories that could have actually happened. Sure, it also exaggerates certain parts of its plot quite a bit, but it’s far better in the area of immersion than many other productions running right now.
This was also discussed with regards to the love interest that will be introduced for Ragnar, as there was some argument over whether it sounds plausible that it’s a girl of Asian origin.
However, according to the research that’s been done for her inclusion, that’s entirely possible and should make for a believable love story for Ragnar. Let’s just hope that it won’t end on a dramatic note, although that would certainly not be out of the question for a show like “Vikings”. It may turn out that this is actually a pretty short-lived romantic story that ends much worse than it started, so fans should prepare themselves for pretty much anything.
