Vikings Season 4 to Show a Good Mix between Love and Anarchy!

“Vikings” is a pretty dynamic show, and its producers definitely aren’t afraid to take risks when it means improving the formula and potentially discovering something new that works even better than what they’ve been doing before. And now that the show is coming up with a fourth season, we’ve been getting various interesting rumors about what we can expect from the new episodes. It looks like the production pace has been ramped up quite a bit, as the showrunners are now rumored to be making this season twice as long as previous ones.

20 episodes sure sounds great for dedicated fans of the show, but of course this number means little without any actual context about the contents of those episodes. If the show doesn’t make any attempt to spice up the current atmosphere and overall style, then of course people aren’t going to care so much about the fact that they’re getting twice as many episodes as before.

One of the possible developments of the new season’s plot is that Ragnar will be given a new love interest, and that could be a very special part of the plot too. Fans shouldn’t expect a season that’s all love and fun though, as on the other hand there have also been rumors that there will be a lot more chaos and anarchy all over the story and we should possibly prepare for something much more dramatic than the previous seasons.

A particularly dramatic rumor claims that we might see Bjorn taking the life of his own uncle, and there seems to be a lot going on related to the topic of betrayal in that season. Loyalty has generally been a core issue for the show and it’s good to see that the writers are continuing their previous trends, but hopefully there will be some justice above all of this negativity.

Bjorn was indeed quite angry from all that’s happened to him recently, and with a good right for that too – so it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to see the character going crazy with his revenge plots and coming up with a particularly nasty idea about what to do.

Harbard is back too, and fans should of course not expect any positive developments of the plot surrounding his character. He added a lot of drama to the show before, and he’ll probably do exactly the same once again, although we don’t know the exact details of his return.

Kevin Durand has been somewhat silent on the issue, refusing to reveal exactly what his character is up to, and he only stated that he’s shot several scenes with him already so it’s pretty much confirmed that we’ll be seeing him return.

A fight between Bjorn and Rollo’s brothers (as well as Rollo himself) is also something that fans have been speculating about quite actively ever since that was revealed, and the bloodshed in the new season might actually take the show to new levels in this regard. It wasn’t exactly known as a peaceful production before, but that trend will be doubled now.

Hopefully we aren’t going to see too many major characters dying, because that could make the show’s setup a bit bare and unattractive for its original fans. On the other hand, we also know that many new characters are supposed to be introduced in this season, so that should at least make up for those deaths if they really do occur.
