‘Vikings’ Season 4 Second Half to Return After ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Finishes Airing

The King of Essex currently holds custody of the alleged son of Ragnar with Kwentrith and plans to use the child in his favor. With this, King Ecbert is expected to play a huge factor in the second half of the season.

The midseason premiere will also see Ragnar’s sons stand up against him in an attempt to overtake him and take away his throne, but Ragnar’s more serious problem is how will he come to face Alyssa Sutherland’s Queen Aslaug.

During the midseason finale, an Envoy exposed to Queen Aslaug and Bjorn that Ragnar bore a son to queen Kwenthrith. Not only did Ragnar commit adultery, he also lied about burning a Viking village in Wessex.

Meanwhile, after a near-death experience during the Paris raid, Katheryn Winnick’s Lagertha finds herself changed and may be on the hots for Aslaug’s throne.

Spoilers suggest that Aslaug will be surprised when Lagertha returns with an unlikely intention – to be the Queen of Kattegat once again.

It will be an interesting fight to witness between these two women as Lagertha has redeemed herself time and time again over the past seasons and Aslaug is someone who will not back down from a fight.

The Irish-Canadian TV series has been renewed for Season 5 and is currently holding casting calls for extras.
