‘Vikings’ Season 4 Hints of Bigger Role for Bjorn and King Ragnar’s Return from Paris!

The Franchise Herald reports that Fimmel’s Ragnar will not leave the show abruptly although it has been confirmed that the 36-year-old actor will leave the show to focus on a movie. His exit will reportedly happen during the Season 4 finale.

Before his impending exit, however, the Australian actor’s character will have a new love interest in Chinese slave named Yidu. There’s no official word yet on who will portray Yidu, but it is expected to be revealed in the coming months.

Meanwhile, the upcoming season will also show Clive Standen’s Rollo in his new life in Paris as the husband of King Charles’ daughter. During last season’s finale, Rollo betrayed his own brother.

Determined to gain favors from the northerners, Emperor Charles resorted to bribing Rollo with lands, titles, and his daughter’s hand in marriage to which the warrior gave in.

This season hints that Bjorn will not be very forgiving of his uncle after what he has done to his father. Reports say that a likely confrontation between the two will happen in the upcoming season.

A leaked scene had also come out and it shows a planned attack against Rollo possibly spearheaded by Bjorn to exact revenge.

“Vikings” was renewed for a fourth season last March. History Channel has not given an official release date yet nor the number of episodes, but if Season 4 will follow the previous seasons’ pattern, it’s likely that the fourth season will premiere late in February or early March next year.
