‘Vikings’ Season 4 Episode 2 Appears to Be Trying to Tell Too Many Stories in 42 Minutes!

The King of England knew that he was up for something terrible when he receives a box full of dismembered Mercia scouts. But one of the scouts was able to survive and tells Ecbert that a nobleman revealed to him the location of Queen Kwenthrith.

Aethelwulf decided to trust the word of the surviving scout and they head together along with the best English warriors to Mercia to save the queen and her son.

Over in Paris, Rollo, played by Clive Standen, works with Count Odo, played by Owen Roe, on how to prevent the Vikings from raiding again the city in the future.

Ragnar’s brother suggested building two forts, each of which would hold the end of a chain that rests in the water. When the Vikings attempt to sail through the channel, the chain would be pulled and will cause the destruction of their boats. Rollo also recommended that the French build more ships capable of battling the Northern men in the water.

Interestingly, the episode’s bad haircut was highlighted by Rollo after he gets a makeover that transformed him into a Frankish noble. But his wife Princess Gisla, played by Morgane Polanski, can see straight through his blowout and laughs heartily.
