‘Vikings’ Season 4 Episode 10 to Feature the Epic Clash Between Ragnar and Rollo!

The 10th episode of Season 4 of the historical drama TV series “Vikings” on the History Channel to air on April 20 shall also be the show’s midseason finale and it promises to be an epic.

Apparently, the episode shall focus on the ultimate showdown between brothers King Ragnar Lothbrok, played by Travis Fimmel, and Rollo Rognvaldsson, played by Clive Standen.

The duel was meant to be and had to be in the TV series since Rollo betrayed his brother, who is the King of the Vikings in Kattegat, Norway, not only once but twice. He also sold out his Vikings lineage when he sided with France and Emperor Charles of France in exchange for marrying the emperor’s daughter and a piece of land in Paris.

The biggest question now among fans is who will win and survive the duel of the two brothers in episode 10 of “Vikings” titled “The Last Ship.”

King Ragnar’s plan to travel has been tweaked just a bit because instead of conquering Paris, he has decided to take down his treacherous brother once and for all, details the International Business Times.

No longer sticking out for his brother

The trailer was seen showing King Ragnar shouting on Rollo that when everyone wanted him dead, he kept him alive but he is no longer sticking out his neck for him and his deceits.

Back in episode 9 of “Vikings,” Ragnar was overheard muttering that he likes to thrust his sword into the heart of Rollo.

The teaser also showed Ragnar warning Rollo that one of them will die on that day. But Rollo was quick to respond that it will not be him.

Based on history, neither Ragnar nor Rollo died of the duel but if the showrunners and writers will tweak the TV series, it is possible that it could be King Ragnar who will perish in the battle given his deteriorating health condition.

There are also a lot of things going on the mind of the King of Kattegat after the brutal withdrawals from Yidu’s herbal medicine. But Ragnar is saving his last herbal remedy for the deadly face-off against his brother.

For his part, Rollo does not need to boost his energy to kill his brother. He has been waiting for the opportunity to become powerful enough to take down his brother. With the entire Frankish army behind him, he can finally slip out from the shadow of the iconic Ragnar and make a name of his own.

Concerned of his father

Bjorn Ironside, played by Alexader Ludwig, the son of Ragnar, is worried about his father’s deteriorating condition before his epic duel with Rollo.

If the effect of the herbal medicine takes its toll on him like it was poisoning him as he said, then Ragnar would really be in trouble. And Bjorn is fearful of that because if his father is in tip-top shape and condition, he was confident that Ragnar can kill Rollo on any given day, details Crossmap.

Based on the episode synopsis of “The Last Ship,” the Vikings will be out to conquer Frankia and give the fallen Vikings the justice they deserved from the hands of the Duke of Paris, Rollo.

While much of the focus of the upcoming midseason finale of “Vikings” Season 4 will be on the clash of the brothers, Ragnar and Rollo, there are still plenty of developments going on outside Frankia where King Ecbert has finally crowned the King of Wessex and Mercia.

King Aelle, who in the history books, is actually the one who ordered the killing of Ragnar, felt betrayed in the TV series after their earlier agreement to divide Mercia between their two kingdoms never took place. He subsequently voiced his grievances to King Ecbert although he seems to be planning more behind his mind.

During the episode 6 of Season 4, Ragnar got addicted to an herb which was given to him by Yidu, played by Dianne Doan.
