Under the Dome Season 3 to Reveal Answers to Questions and Mysteries of Past 2 Seasons

The ongoing third season of the science fiction TV series, “Under the Dome” will reveal the answers to all the questions and mysteries surrounding the show.

During the recently concluded ComicCon 2015, Tim Schlattmann, executive producer of the sci-fi series, said that the intriguing questions and plots about the show will finally have their answers and explanations at the end of Season 3. Schlatmann added that the series has thrown a lot of stuff to viewers during the first two seasons, but by the end of the latest season, fans will know everything and things are going to be clearer.

Along with Schlattmann, cast members Mike Vogel, Colin Ford, and Marg Helgenberger, who plays a crucial role in the current season of the TV series, were present in Ballroom 20 at the ComicCon 2015 to discuss what lies ahead for the rest of the episodes of Season 3, BuddyTV reported.

The executive producer also said that viewers should brace for significant deaths on Season 3. Schlattmann said that the series may have a death that does not mean anything, but the deaths during  the third season of “Under the Dome” will be significant and going to matter to the fans. At least one major character is going to say goodbye as the season progresses, he revealed.

The show also turned the ComicCon an opportunity to introduce Helgenberger, who will play the role of the new antagonist, Christine Price. Schlattmann praised the hiring of the actress and said that when they needed a great actress, they got a great actress. The American actress is a familiar face on TV as she had played a role at “CSI.”

Schlattmann also hinted that main protagonist Barbie Barbara, who is played by Vogel might want to start shopping at a toy store. It was taken by fans as a possible hint that Barbara might become a father in Season 3 of “Under the Dome.”

The premiere of “Under the Dome” Season 3 kicked off with Melanie (Grace Victoria Cox) urging the residents of Chester’s Mill to jump into the white fog which was supposed to lead them to safety, International Business Times reported. Barbara also supported Melanie and encouraged the residents to take the leap of faith for freedom.

As they jumped, the residents found themselves outside the dome and saw the dome destroyed by pink stars. Barbara rushed back to town only to find his lover, Julia (Rachelle Lefevre), Junior (Alexander Koch) and Big Jim (Dean Norris) dead in the woods. There was a one-year time skip, revealing what happened to residents of Chester’s Mill.

Nori (Mackenzie Lintz) is a sorority girl, Joe (Ford) has been accepted in a tech school, and Barbara is working with the military alongside Hunter (Max Ehrich) in Yemen, and has a relationship with Eva (Kylie Bunbury), his operations manager. Life is pretty good for the residents of Chester’s Mill until Barbara came back to town for the memorial and was told by Ben (John Elvis) that there is something happening in Chester’s Mill.

Ben told Barbara that none of their reality is real as one proof is that he does not have asthma anymore. As Ben tried to show Barbara his evidence, he was strangled to death by Melanie. It turned out that Melanie created an alternate universe to help the residents of Chester’s Mill in her own twisted ways. The residents were controlled by a web of cocoons, which are connected by pink, rangy branches at the tunnel underneath Chester’s Mill.

Julia, Junior and Big Jim are actually alive at the real universe, and they faced their fair share of obstacles and difficulties to stop Melanie from controlling the residents of Chester’s Mill. Big Jim shot down the mystical cocoon and helped released the residents from their alternate reality.
