Game developer Naughty Dog has just completed a milestone for the continued development of the open-world action adventure third-person shooter video game “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” on course to its exclusive release on the PlayStation 4 early next year.
The developer has apparently completed the motion-capture process for actors Richard McGonale and Emily Rosebrought for their respective video game characters, Sully, and Elena, reports Gamespot.
It was actually game co-director Neil Druckmann who announced the completion of the motion-capture process for the characters Sully and Elena when he tweeted a couple of images showing the actors Richard and Emily and himself after finishing their motion-capture process work for “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.”
Motion capture has been an important part of the development process of the “Uncharted” video game franchise and it has been practically the trademark of Naughty Dog for the game ever since the first “Uncharted” game, notes VG 24/7.
So when the developer signed off the two actors, it means that the development of the game is progressing according to schedule. Prior to the two actors, it has already been reported that the motion-capture process for the game protagonist Nathan Drake has already been completed sometime early this year.
Release date next year
“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” was scheduled to roll out in the fall of this year, but it has been pushed back to early next year. Although Naughty Dog has yet to come out with a statement or announcement to announce the exact release date of the video game, recent reports are speculating that it will come out on March 9, 2016.
Game developer Naughty Dog has been saying time and again that it will release the game next year. While it did not specify an exact release date, most of the reports were consistent that the video game, to be published by Sony Computer Entertainment, will be released in the early part of 2016.
With Sony as its publisher, it becomes a no-brainer why the game is being released exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
However, there are now reports stating that the highly-anticipated video game will officially come out on March 9, 2016. But since Naughty Dog or Sony has yet to confirm or deny this rumored release date of the highly-anticipated video game, it remains a speculation at this time.
There is nothing special about March 9 for Naughty Dog but looking back at this year’s March 9, it is basically the date when Apple launched its Apple Watch and its new MacBook, which have no bearing or relation at all to the “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.”
Game at GameStop Expo
However, what is confirmed at this time is that the video game will stream live at the GameStop Expo 2015 to be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 2.
In addition to “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End,” other up and coming video games that will be streamed during the event are “NBA 2K16” from EA Sports, “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate” from Ubisoft, “Battleborn, and three unnamed Square Enix titles. It is likely that two of the Square Enix titles will be “Final Fantasy XV” and “Kingdom Hearts 3” although the Japanese game developer has yet to confirm it.
Accordingly, “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be stream for about 20 minutes starting at 1 pm of September 2nd. It will then be followed by the streaming of the Square Enix titles to be followed by the “Street Fighter 5” tournament.
