Game developer Naughty Dog has been saying time and again that it will release its open-word action adventure third-persons shooter video game “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” exclusively on the PlayStation 4 in 2016.
While it did not specify a specific release date, most of the reports were consistent that the video game, to be published by Sony Computer Entertainment, will be released in the early part of 2016.
With Sony as its publisher, it becomes a no-brainer why the game is being released exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
However, Venture Capital Post got wind of a report stating that the highly-anticipated video game will officially come out on March 9, 2016. But since Naughty Dog or Sony has yet to confirm or deny this rumored release date of the highly-anticipated video game, it remains a speculation at this time.
There is nothing special about March 9 for Naughty Dog but looking back at this year’s March 9, it is basically the date when Apple launched its Apple Watch and its new MacBook, which have no bearing or relation at all to the “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.”
Streaming live in Las Vegas
However, what is confirmed at this time is that the video game will stream live at the GameStop Expo 2015 to be held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 2.
In addition to “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End,” other up and coming video games that will be streamed during the event are “NBA 2K16” from EA Sports, “Assassin’s Creed Syndicate” from Ubisoft, “Battleborn,” and three unnamed Square Enix titles. It is likely that two of the Square Enix titles will be “Final Fantasy XV” and “Kingdom Hearts 3” although the Japanese game developer has yet to confirm it.
Accordingly, “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be streamed for about 20 minutes starting at 1 pm of September 2nd. It will then be followed by the streaming of the Square Enix titles to be followed by the “Street Fighter 5” tournament.
Cinematic set pieces
Design & Trend describes “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End as absolutely gorgeous based on its gameplay demos at the PlayStation Experience and at the E3 2015. Like its predecessor games in the franchise, it features cinematic set pieces that one would expect to find in an “Indiana Jones” movie.
With the added power and features of the PlayStation 4, Naughty Dog has taken the thrills of the video game to the next level and the worlds that Nathan Drake would explore will be more open and beautiful than ever before.
Naughty Dog has been receiving plenty of praises for the seven-minute demo trailer of “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” that it showed at the E3 2015 held in June.
Critics and gamers were quite impressed with the video game’s level of intensity as well as the visual feasts that it offered to them.
Instead of taking the credit for the marked improvement in the visuals and graphics of the game, Naughty Dog is actually candid enough to say that it is actually because of the power of the PlayStation 4 that enabled “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” to have that really superb visuals.
Community Strategist Arne Meyer disclosed that they saw a glimpse of what was possible with games on the PlayStation 4 when they developed “The Last of Us Remastered” and they were excited of what they can do when they fully focused on developing a game from the ground up for the system.
