This doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad thing though, and it’s possible that Twitter could come out refreshed after all this is done. As we pointed out above, there is still a lot of potential in the platform, and whoever ends up buying it can do a lot to realize it.
Now also seems to be a good time for competing platforms to pop up as well. There is a lot of uncertainty in the future of Twitter, and users seem more eager than usual to jump ship and look for an alternative.
Those who’ve been looking to steal some users away from the platform might have a ripe opportunity right now, but it’s not quite certain if it will be a worthwhile investment. After all, just because someone has created the new Twitter doesn’t necessarily guarantee them popularity or success.
Quite the opposite, actually – if someone wants to succeed by piggybacking on the situation with Twitter, they should probably focus their marketing on the things they do differently. There are several aspects of Twitter that have been making people increasingly frustrated with it over the last few months/years, and it’s not hard to take a look at discussions on tech forums and see what people have against the platform.
With that information, it should be quite easy to come up with a plan to compete with it, and now could be the perfect time to draw some attention to a platform like that.
