True Identity of Rosalie Under the Spotlight in ‘General Hospital’

With her recent participation in a plot to help Nikolas gain control of ELQ Industries and eventually the general hospital, Rosalie’s identity will be put to light in the upcoming episodes of the longest American daytime soap opera “General Hospital” on ABC.

Because of her rumored mob affiliations, the toss up is whether Rosalie is a closet Cassadine, Corinthos or Alcazar, according to Youth Health Mag. However, she is already being crossed out as the long lost Kailey Cassadine especially in light of how Nikolas has been treating her. That leaves the choice of Rosalie being either a Corinthos or an Alcazar.

Rosalie is more plausible however as a closet Corinthos more than an Alcazar. She is at about the exact age as the never-before-seen child of Lily Rivera and Sonny Corinthos.

It can be recalled that Lily was pregnant when she died in the car bomb which was intended for Sonny. As in any TV show or movie, when there is no dead body, the character can still come back and haunt the perpetrators.

It is possible therefore that Lily is still alive and that she and Rosalie came to town to plot against Sonny.

On the possibility of her being an Alcazar, Rosalie could be the offspring of another mob family formerly from Port Charles and maybe related to Lily but not as her child.

For sure, Rosalie wants to keep her identity secret in order to protect her from the crime families of the Corinthos and the Jerome.

Final appearance

Meanwhile, Anthony Geary, who plays the role of Luke Spencer and whose marriage to Laura in 1981 in “General Hospital” was the biggest moment in daytime television history, is reportedly making his final appearance in the soap opera next month, reports CP 24. His last appearance in the daytime soap opera will air on July 27.

As early as May, ABC has already announced that Geary has decided to leave the show after spending nearly three decades of his life as a soap opera regular.

More than 30 million people watched Luke and Laura in what others believe as a storybook event back in 1981. Actress Genie Francis, who played Laura but has not been on “General Hospital” since 2013, will return to give Anthony Geary’s Luke character a good and graceful exit from the show.

The 68-year-old Geary started playing Luke in 1978. He disclosed that he originally signed on for a 13-week stint. He went on an eight-year hiatus from the show in the 80s. He, however, said that Luke has been his alter ego from the time he became part of the soap opera.

Geary has received a record eight Daytime Emmy Awards for his work as Luke Spencer in “General Hospital.”

General Hospital

“General Hospital” is the longest-running American soap opera in production as listed in the Guinness World Records. It is also the third longest-running drama in television in American history, next only to “Guiding Light” and “As the World Turns.” As a matter of fact, the show aired its 13,000th episode on February 24, 2014, and it is still running to this day.
