In his Instagram post, the director shared a photo of a bright green, old-school Chevy convertible on or near the movie set.
Bay has been keeping the fans engaged through his social media accounts. The director has long voiced out that this will be his final “Transformers” film.
Bay’s caption revealed that they are preparing to shoot the film in Cuba. Reports say that the car Bay posted on his Instagram account is an Autobot or probably a getaway car during the film’s explosive events.
The film’s official Instagram account is active too. The latest post on the account consists of a short teaser video. The caption says ‘Calling all #Autobots: Optimus Prime is ready for battle. Are you? #transformers.’
Cinema Blend notes that “Transformers: The Last Knight” is the second American blockbuster to shoot in Cuba, following Universal’s upcoming film, “Fast & Furious 8.” Big productions are sure to follow these films in the near future.
Paramount hasn’t released an official synopsis for the film yet. However, Screen Crush speculates that the latest installment will draw on the Knights of Cybertron, who were alluded to in the last film when Optimus Prime was revealed to be one of the legendary swordsmen.
In an interview, Cullen states that he hopes the film, along with its future sequels, will go back to its roots.
