Fans of “Transformers” have mostly been kept in the dark about work on “Transformers: Last Knight” until now, but that’s about to change soon. A new trailer is set to hit the screen soon, prompting fans and critics alike to openly discuss what it could bring to the table. As can be expected, the film is enjoying a large following among cinema fans, and it’s pretty much guaranteed that the trailer is going to get a lot of attention.
It will be a relatively long watch too, at least for a trailer – in 2 minutes, the producers can realistically show quite a lot from the new film, and they can easily generate all the hype they’re looking for before making any further announcements.
The new film will feature quite a lot of interesting elements, so hopefully Michael Bay and the rest of the team will be able to put everything together in a coherent way, instead of turning the film into a mess of characters and plot lines.
We’re going to see various interesting additions to the character roster, with names like King Arthur, Merlin, and even Winston Churchill brought up. Churchill’s home will apparently be used as the headquarters for the Nazis (yes, they’re also in the whole mix), and even though there’s been some minor controversy regarding the alleged content of the film, most fans are taking these announcements in a more lighthearted way.
There is still a long time to go before the film hits the screen though – the current release is scheduled for June 23 – so fans should probably not take everything that’s being said at the moment too seriously. There are tons of rumors about the film too, and that’s been adding a lot to the overall confusion in the community, so those who want to avoid some serious disappointment next year should just follow the official news streams.
“Transformers: Last Knight” isn’t the only production under that franchise that’s currently in development though. A spin-off based on Bumblebee is also going to be released at some point, but it looks like work on that front has been much slower recently.
The film is still in a very early stage, and it doesn’t even seem to have a director lined up, but on the other hand we’ve heard some talks about potential casting decisions which have already gotten fans quite excited for what’s coming up.
We don’t know how long it will take before the Bumblebee spin-off gains any real traction behind the scenes, and it could take even more time for fans to hear about it too, but hopefully the people in charge are going to treat this with all the responsibility and attention it deserves. Many fans have expressed interest in seeing a film based on the character, so it already has the potential for a huge success, it just needs someone to realize it properly.
And while some fans are apparently worried that the studio has been a bit too active in bringing new “Transformers” films to the screen, those voices seem to be in a minority right now.
For the most part, some followers of the franchise even sound disappointed by what they claim is a slow progress on the work on “Transformers: Last Knight”. It’s arguable how much faster the producers could have worked to bring this film out the door though, and it’s also worth remembering that there is just about half a year left to go before it arrives, so the wait is almost over.
