Toyota Camry Responsible for Man’s Survival, Meanwhile 2015 Model Gets Good Upgrades!

Toyota have been enjoying a lot of media attention lately, particularly about the Camry – and not all of it has been the result of their marketing efforts, either. A recent workplace accident saw a window washer falling down 11 stories while on the job, but the man miraculously survived – owing to the fact that he landed on a Toyota Camry which crumpled under his weight.

This is no coincidence, as the safety engineering of modern cars is focused to a large extent on making them practically disintegrate in a crash. As a result of this, when a properly designed car hits an obstacle at a high speed, the car will often be reduced to scrap, but the driver and passengers take almost none of the impact energy. A similar thing happened with the window washer, according to experts, and the man would have very likely not survived had the car not been there.

Further adding to the credibility of Toyota’s engineers in this case, the car’s owner was actually inside at the time the incident occurred – and walked away unharmed, despite the caved in roof. All in all, this has been some very positive press for Toyota, and there have been a lot more eyes on the company in the last few days as the result of this.

Meanwhile, critics have been looking at the 2015 version of the Camry, and the general consensus so far is that Toyota have done an outstanding job improving the car, and building on the features that made it popular. Some engine components have been replaced or upgraded, the interior has been redesigned as well – featuring a much better instrument panel – and the car looks overall slicker and more in line with modern design trends in the automobile market. Toyota seem to be putting a lot of focus on the visual aspect of their vehicles’ designs lately in general, so the improved looks of the new Camry were expected by most fans of the brand.

The 2015 Toyota Camry is also more sporty than the previous models, with an entirely separate sport version being scheduled for release along with the main one. Other than a different engine, the Camry S will feature new tires, a better transmission system, and more advanced suspension that can handle slightly rougher rides as well as more serious loads. Of course, this model would also come with a heavier price tag attached to it, but judging by all the features packed under its hood, it will be a very good offer for those who want to spend a little more money and get a lot more out of their everyday ride.
