Some interesting claims about “Toy Story 4” have been the subject of heated discussions among fans of the franchise lately, and it looks like there’s something brewing up behind the scenes, although it’s not quite clear what. Rumors indicate that we could see a major preview for the film by the end of this year, which would obviously be a pretty major surprise to most fans.
If the rumor turns out to be true, the preview should hopefully shed some light on certain important points, such as which characters we’re going to see returning, as well as the overall premise of the story. A lot has happened in “Toy Story” over the years, and the characters have gone through some difficult struggles, and right now it’s not quite clear which of them would come back for a new sequel.
We expect to see the major characters of the originals coming back, including Woody and Buzz. There have also been talks about Mr. Potato Head, Trixie and Bo Peep. In fact, some rumors claim that Bo Peep will not only be returning, but she would also have a very important part in the storyline.
The last we saw of her was in “Toy Story 3”, when she mysteriously vanished with no trace – and it looks like now it will be up to Woody and the rest of the gang to bring her back. Rumors indicate that this will be the main point of the plot of the new film, and it sounds like quite a plausible theory overall.
We’ve already seen some official claims about “Toy Story 4”, and the film has been confirmed to be in production and scheduled for 2018 – and yet, there is so much unknown that fans have been practically arguing with each other over various details.
While it’s probably fun to engage in those arguments from time to time, those who’re really looking forward to the movie should probably refrain from getting too involved in such discussions, as they could ultimately lead to some disappointing moments.
If the final version of the film is not quite like a fan envisions it, this could obviously affect their perception of the production in an undeserving way. This is something long-time film fans usually already know, and it’s a good idea to keep one’s distance from those discussions.
Other reports about the film claim that love will be one of the main themes of its story, if not the main one. This aligns with the rumors of Woody looking for Bo Peep, so it’s starting to seem more and more plausible that this will be the subject of the new story indeed.
It will also be interesting to see how the development of other characters plays into the whole plot, as Andy and the others are growing up while the toys remain the same. This has created some interesting opportunities for the writers to put the characters in funny situations, and we expect to see even more of that in “Toy Story 4”.
In fact, this was already set up to some extent in the end of “Toy Story 3”, as Andy had to give his toys to another child, this time a girl. The toys will have to get used to having a new owner, and there may be some moments of clashing between them too. It wouldn’t be a complete story without some conflict in the beginning, after all.
