Top Gun 2 Should Take It Easy on the Computer-Based Special Effects, Tom Cruise Says!

The aging of all actors might be referenced in the plot in some interesting way, and the new film could easily be made to work as a follow-up to the original story after a very long time. That could open plenty of opportunities for the new plot.

And the topic of drones has been a very popular one among film fans and in the media as a whole lately, so it should definitely have a strong potential if it’s done right. We have no doubt that the writing talent behind this production is going to do a solid job.

It would also be interesting to see how the “no CGI” idea is combined with the intention to focus on drones in the new plot – after all, there isn’t much need for human actors with those.

Some have speculated that the new film is going to show “old school” fighter pilots coming up against the products of modern technology and fighting against drones, which would certainly create an interesting setting for the plot. We might also see a storyline of original pilots proving their worth in a world of machines, something akin to what has been discussed in some recent games like “Call of Duty: Ghosts” and other popular titles focused on near-future warfare.
