Despite all the drama in Tom Cruise’s life right now, the 53-year-old actor always keeps a happy mood on the set of his upcoming film, “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.”
The Daily Mail spotted Cruise along with co-star Cobie Smulders all geared up for a jog as they film a scene that looks like they are undergoing physical training. The “Mission: Impossible” actor worked hard to keep up with his 33-year-old co-star as they shoot in New Orleans.
The “Jerry Maguire” actor looked physically fit, something that his character is required to demonstrate. Tom has been filming for the sequel of the action movie since mid-October and is reportedly very involved in the film.
According to People, the Golden Globe-winning actor is always in a great mood when he’s on set. He’s always smiling and seems so happy.
Sources say that his good physique and wellness are always his top priority because he often takes on his own stunts. Reportedly, when Cruise is not on a scene, he’s on a radio talking to the crew staying in contact with the entire film set.
The “Oblivion” star seems very interested in making the scenes perfect. People reports that after every shot, he goes back to look at the monitor and discusses some changes with the director and the rest of the crew.
On November 16, four blocks in the Business District of New Orleans were blocked off for shooting. Photos show Cruise and Smulders, in character, darting through La Fayette Square Park while trying to escape the Hunter, played by Patrick Heusinger.
Photos show that after the scene, the two broke into a laugh with Cruise grabbing Smulders’ left arm.
The “How I Met Your Mother” alum could barely contain her laughs that she fell down, but she collected herself and got back into her character after the shooting break.
The “Top Gun” vet was dressed in a blue jacket over a black shirt with deep blue jeans. His black boots made his character all ready for action.
Cobie went for a light beige T-shirt, camo slacks, and constructions boots to which the “Avengers” star has been donning all week while filming.
“Jack Reacher 2” is set to hit theaters on October 21, 2016, and is the sequel to 2012’s “Jack Reacher.” Edward Zwick, who helmed Tom’s movie “The Last Samurai” is taking the director’s seat for the film.
The first film was an impressive overseas success and tells the story of Reacher, a former MP who investigates crimes. Cruise’s last film, “Mission: Impossible – Rouge Nation” made close to $480 million worldwide to date.
Details have been sparse for the upcoming action film, but Variety reports that the film will also star Madalyn Horcher, Aldis Hodge, and Danika Yarosh.
While the Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman’s ex-husband is enjoying his work, his personal life has once again entered the controversy train.
With Leah Remini’s new book “Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology,” the Oscar-winning actor was painted as a diva who yells at assistants.
The 45-year-old actress’ memoir references numerous alleged run-ins between Remini and Cruise over their years together in the church.
In her book, she sheds some light on the relationship between the “Valkyrie” actor and fellow Scientologists John Travolta and Kirstie Alley.
Remini reveals that while the three stars are expected to be close friends, they, in fact, do not socialize because Tom doesn’t like Travolta and Alley.
Tom is apparently very upset with Leah’s public attacks on him, US Weekly reports. He thinks that it’s a major betrayal and what’s worse was that he found out about the controversy from Scientology people and not from TV reports.
