‘Tom Clancy’s The Division’ to Debut as a Strategy-Focused and Narrative-Driven Role-Playing Game on March 8, 2016!

The open-world third person shooter role-playing game “Tom Clancy’s The Division” was officially announced by Canadian game developer Ubisoft during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2013 held then at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California on June 11 to 13, 2013.

More than two years have passed since that official announcement, the game has yet to roll out to the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC. Just the thought of it alone already gives anxious gamers who have been waiting for the game since then all the right reason to be annoyed on why Ubisoft is taking so long to release it.

While Ubisoft was pretty quiet about the game during the E3 2015 this past June, it made some noise about it during the Penny Arcade eXpo (PAX) Prime 2015 event held in Seattle late in August showcasing its gameplay trailer and allowing fans and gamers playing opportunities.

Ubisoft once again did the same at the EGX 2015 held in Birmingham, UK last month, where gamers generally commented that “Tom Clancy’s The Division” stayed true to its hype as a strategy-focused and narrative-driven shooter that was promised to them more than two years ago during the E3 2013, notes iDigital Times.

The game developer has also announced during the two recent events that “Tom Clancy’s The Division” will be debuting on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC on March 8, 2016. Ubisoft also assured that there will be no further delays in the game this time around as that would be nearly three years from the time that it was first announced in 2013.

Possible reasons for the delay

There are many reasons and explanations why the release date of “Tom Clancy’s The Division” was delayed. Early this year, it was reported that the role-playing game will finally come out in the gaming consoles and the PC before the end of this year, but it is unlikely to materialize this time.

Apparently, there are just too many things on the plate of Ubisoft right now so “Tom Clancy’s The Division” had to give way. The developer will be releasing “Rainbow Six: Siege” soon but is now preparing for the roll out of “Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate” from the very popular video game franchise.

Aside from being an action-packed role-playing video game, “Tom Clancy’s The Division” shall also have survival elements developed by Ubisoft Massive, Ubisoft Reflections, and Ubisoft Red Storm, which are all under the Tom Clancy video game brand.

In addition to confirming that “Tom Clancy’s The Division” will be coming in 2016, Ubisoft Canada also worked on sprucing up fan excitement in its Facebook page early this year by asking which of the two video games are they excited about.

While “Rainbow Six: Siege” has enough fan base already, it turns out that based on gamer comments and reaction, “Tom Clancy’s The Division” is what’s giving them more excitement, likely thinking that Ubisoft is serving them a new dish.

One fan said that he’s going for “Tom Clancy’s The Division” but he will still get “Rainbow Siege: Six” because he really loves playing third person shooter games. The gamer also said that Ubisoft somehow took the mettle out of “Rainbow Six: Siege” because the developer removed its cover system and that the game does not have a true campaign mode like “Tom Clancy’s The Division.”

Gameplay narrative

Tom Clancy's The Division

“Tom Clancy’s The Division” was derived from real-world events that show how the US has become vulnerable to post-apocalyptic terror because society has become more fragile and complex.

The premise of the game is based on the spread of a disease in the US which led to the collapse of the government in five days resulting to chaos. It was later discovered that the germs in the bank notes or dollar bills are what’s spreading the disease all over the country.

  1. It looks like good action RPG but what will be more: RPG or action…or bugs:) After latest news, that was a graphic downgrade i was started to worry about future of this game. I hope that will not end like Watch Dogs. But im clam when its come to the Sniper Ghopst Warrior 3 which will be released in next year. CI Games rebuild his own series and want to bring us, players, more of sniping in best possible way.
