Tom Clancy’s The Division Gets New DLC Soon, Can the Game Still Be Saved? Let’s See

We wouldn’t be surprised if the release of “Survival” flops badly, and if that does happen, it will probably be the last nail in the game’s coffin. It didn’t have a very long run, and its popularity dwindled down faster than most people expected from the game, but perhaps it will at least manage to inspire other developers to explore the same idea.

That was actually a common sentiment among fans ever since the game was launched. It’s a great idea, and has a lot of potential, but it was simply handed over to the wrong studio for the job and that’s why it performed so poorly in the end.

Maybe if someone else took the same idea and worked on it from a different angle, things could turn out much better.

But it would have to be one of the big studios, as this kind of concept really doesn’t warrant anything less than a full-blown AAA release. And so far, we haven’t seen any other company showing that they have the time to work on a project like this.

There were also rumors about a possible sequel coming up at some point, but they quickly died down once players saw what the game actually has to offer. Nobody really expects Ubisoft to explore this idea any further right now, and after they’re done with the planned DLC, we most probably won’t hear anything on that front again.
