Tokyo Ghoul Season 3: Season 3 Or The Film – Which Would Be The First To Release, If At All

Tokyo Ghoul has been one of the top 10 of Japan’s manga series. It has been over a year since the second season finale, and there has been no new update on the sequel to this popular series. It had its major leap of success with the concluding season finale and raised in the sales that it brought about for the anime.

Since then the fans have been waiting eagerly for an update on a new release date and the update that followed was that the production is planning to delay the release further more. However, rumors of canceling the third season have been doing the rounds considering the silence about further activities regarding the anime.

The fans believe that Tokyo Ghoul should continue but considering the continuous shift in the release date, many reviewers have dropped the bomb that it is possible that the series is potentially scrapped for good. However, industry experts believe that continuous airing is good to maintain the viewership and gather new viewers, which hints in the other direction.

Scrapping might not necessarily take place as the anime has had pretty good ratings since it started anyway. So the good thing is that the anime is coming back early next year. It has been speculated that the sequel will be ready by March 2017.

Hindrances taking place within the production team is said to be the reason behind the third season’s delay. According to reports a good amount of episodes are ready to be released, but they are not enough to complete the entire third season.

The management of the series gave assurance of the fact that the quality of the episodes will not be compromised and they will simultaneously work towards increasing the quantity of the episodes which is the reason behind its delay. The producer has made it clear that until and unless the line-up is not complete, the show will not see a release date anytime soon.

Some believe that the delay could be because the creator of Tokyo Ghoul, Sui Ishida is currently involved with another anime called Hunter X Hunter. Rumors also suggest that Studio Pierrot, the original company that calls the shots for the show has already sold the rights to Madhouse Inc.

The rumor of the rights is sold to add to the curiosity even more as Madhouse Inc. has animations like Death Note and One Punch Man to their credit. This means that Tokyo Ghoul has the potential of becoming as grasping as Death Not on the content and detailing. However, these changes are yet to be made official and are only speculations based on what the reviewers have come out and said.

Sui Ishida stressed on the fact that the show is not being canceled. He added that the show has remained popular despite being off-air which adds to the points of there being a continuation to the anime.

Tokyo Ghoul Season 3

It is also hinted that the film for Tokyo Ghoul would release sometime next year as well which makes the fans hopeful for some continuation if not a 3rd season. The film is said to be already in the making which according to the team is the strongest reason behind not being able to give time to season 3 of the same.

Because of the delay of the third season, the storyline of will be under particularly keen eyes of the viewers as it will have to be nothing but worth the wait after so many rumors and dates being tossed at its fans. It has been speculated that Ken Kaneki and Touka will be sharing the same amount of screen space in the new season as the latter will be facing the challenges of college life.
