The whole secrecy of the producers seems to be a bit too much for some fans though, judging by online discussions.
Many would prefer the showrunners to be a little more open with regards to their plans and current progress, and while this is a common problem with many shows on television, “Tokyo Ghoul” seems to be particularly affected by it.
We can also understand where the producers are coming from though, as they’re working on a show based on an incredibly popular manga, putting a lot of pressure on them. Fans of the original “Tokyo Ghoul” have already expressed various points of criticism towards the show, so the producers might be waiting until they have something more substantial to show before they make any big revelations.
Let’s hope that this is what’s going on, and that there aren’t actually any major issues behind the scenes. As we said above, “Tokyo Ghoul” really does deserve to move forward and explore its characters in more detail, so let’s hope that the next few months are going to bring us good news for the show’s future.
And if not, hopefully someone else can fill the void that will be created on the TV screen, as fans will definitely be hungry for more of the same, and they wouldn’t mind getting it from another source, as long as it’s done well.
