A satisfying end
Showrunner Sunil Nayar says that the series finale of “Revenge” gives viewer a satisfying end as if they have also finished reading a novel.
The Indian American creator of “Revenge” added that the televiewers felt that they’ve read the last page and closed the book. They came out of it not feeling that the series missed anything out. It was a complete and finished story.
The suspense part of the series finale was actually caused by the episode titled called “Two Graves” as fans thought that both Emily and Victoria would die in the end. As it turns out, it was only Victoria who died but not in the hands of Emily but her father David.
So when Nayar revealed before the series finale that there will be two people in two graves by the end of the episode, what he really meant was that the first grave is for Victoria and the second grave is for the vengeful past life of Amanda. It is obvious from the final episode that Emily will also bury Amanda in her past and move on to a new beginning. In short, the “Two Graves” in the series finale title are for Victoria and Amanda, Emily’s past life.
