Larry Pacer, the founder of Particle City, spoke about the idea behind the game. He said that he had worked closely with Respawn to bring in features of card battle strategy and collectability. He kept the iconic gameplay intact while working on unique elements that would help the game to evolve.
The game drew in heavily from the original Titanfall. It introduced the feature of dropping Titans during a battle and using Parkour and Rodeo Burn Cards to tackle a move. The players who have played Titanfall are going to love the fact that will have a similar experience on their smartphones now.
The game is the product of a collaboration between Respawn, Particle City, and Nexon. It is interesting to note that Respawn went ahead with Nexon for the mobile game in spite of having a publishing deal with EA for the console and PC games. EA has a presence in mobile games and would have done an equally good job.
Titanfall: Frontline hasn’t appeared on either Android or iOS yet. Titanfall 2, however, has shown up on Android in some countries.
