Titanfall: Frontline Soft Launch with Titanfall 2, Combines the Best of Console and the Card Games Genre!

Nexon has revealed Titanfall: Frontline. The developer described it as a free-to-play card game that will be available on different devices by fall. Titanfall: Frontline is rumored to be available on Android devices, iPhone, and the iPad. Nexon has even released high-resolution images for the fans.

Titanfall 2 launches on 28th October and will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the PC. The soft launch of Titanfall: Frontline will take place at the same event.

However, unlike the console game on which Titanfall: Frontline is based, it isn’t going to be a first-person-shooter. Frontline is going to be similar to the card collection game, where the players will compete with others in real-time multiplayer mode.

According to Gadgets, the players can upgrade and customize their cards and team up with other players in the social guilds. Instead of gathering titans and pilots like in Titanfall, the players will collect cards related to the titans and pilots.

Polygon reported that the players in Titanfall: Frontline are going to assume the role of a commander. Their character will be similar to Sarah. The Commander is responsible for creating a team by uniting titans and pilots.

The players have hundreds of cards at their disposal. They can create numerous combinations and battle their way to defeat the rival Commander. Even though the game is yet to release, the players can register in their respective Play Stores.

Registering will notify the gamers about the release of Titanfall: Frontline. The registered players will also get access to the launch-week reward – a Prometheus Titan Card. The players have access to three types of cards in the game – the Titan, Pilot, and Burn Card.

Apart from that, players can also turn the battle in their favor by using the Rodeo Burn and Parkour cards. The Frontline system ensures that only the units in the frontline can attack. In such a situation the Parkour cards can be used to bypass this rule of the frontline attacking first.

The players can upgrade and customize the cards available during the game. They can also use Burn cards during the battle. Titanfall: Frontline is a card game, but it is different from The Elder Scrolls: Legends and HearthStone.

Unlike the turn-based battle in the other games, Titanfall: Frontline includes real-time player-versus-player combat.

The manner in which the first-person shooter games are considered these days changed with Titanfall. Particle City has decided to take the element of intrigue and creative approach from the first-person shooter games and combine it with the strategies of collectible card game genre.

The game will allow different play styles. The players can choose between fast attack style, which will include drop ships, titans and light pilots. On the other hand, they can go for a slow paced, but powerful style.

The slower style will include defensive installations and support personnel. The players of Titanfall: Frontline even have the option to keep their Titans on autopilot or directly control them.

Titanfall Frontline

Forbes reported that the idea of a card game based on Titanfall seemed a bit odd initially. However, with time it appeared that Titanfall would be a perfect fit for a card game. It has two teams with a Commander in charge.

The two teams have pilots and timers to allow Titans being dropped into the field of action. The different classes have different kinds of guns; this would help in strategic advantage. The 3D terrain of Titanfall: Frontline will also provide an advantage. However, Titanfall: Frontline involves more tactical planning than agility of control.
