Titanfall 2 Review Released, New Abilities For Pilot And Titans, What Will Replace The Smart Weapon? Let’s See

When the team of developers was working out the ideas for Titanfall DLCs, the most important point to be discussed was the elimination of the Titans. The Titans were the titular figure in the game, but players felt that the Pilots weren’t getting the scope of the battle since these Titans would keep intruding their gameplay.

Respawn Entertainment didn’t think that it was a right decision but decided to go ahead since the players wanted it. The Pilot-only for Titanfall did get finalized. However, it didn’t fare as expected. The mode was a complete failure.

The players didn’t like the mode at all, and it wasn’t difficult to figure out the reason. The ones who wanted the game to be simplified didn’t realize that the charm of the game was in the presence of the grunting, stomping AI-controlled Titans.

The irritating oddities in the real action of the game made Titanfall successful. The Pilots needed the Titans to excel, and their interaction carried the seed of the game’s success.

Respawn Entertainment decided to move this idea forward while working on Titanfall 2. They kept in mind the need for simplicity in the game and made small but significant changes throughout the new version.

Players who have tested the beta version of Titanfall 2 state that the Pilots move with the same precision and grace as in the first installment. The maps are smart. They are tight and intricate, which makes it easy for wall running and jumping. The snapping between weapons is also easy.

The Titans in Titanfall 2 have been made even more inviting.

Players who haven’t spent a lot of time with Titanfall, might not realize how different Titanfall 2 is from the previous version. Those who dig deeper will realize how different the game looks. The first change is the number of Titans. Unlike the three models that players had to stick to in Titanfall 3, the players now pick from  6 different Titans.

Ronin and Scorch are two of the new Titans introduced in Titanfall 2. Ronin possesses an electric katana and can teleport. Scorch can keep the rival Titans at bay with its use of fire. The flame wall will burn the enemies when they try to breach it.

The character-based Titans do not necessarily mean that Titanfall 2 doesn’t have the customization option that made assembling the robots so enjoyable in Titanfall. It helps when you can find out the enemy Titan and know how you can tackle them.

It looks like the class-based shooter game, Overwatch allowed the developers to borrow this feature from them.

Respawn Entertainment wasn’t allowing player reviews from Titanfall 2 to be made public. Players felt that the developers weren’t ready to face the backlash about the new version before its release. The notion is set to change since Respawn decided to lift the review embargo from October 24th.

According to VG247, a new customization and load-out video from Titanfall 2 was released. It is a partnership between Electronic Arts and Arekkz, and there will be another one in the series.

The video showed that the players could customize their pilot loadout. The customization ability is a Tactical option that they have to first choose. The option will let them change the look of the Pilot along with various skills. The players can alter the abilities like speed boosts, holographic projections, cloaking and grappling hooks.

The most prominent improvement in Titanfall 2 is the broadening of the Pilot and Titan’s capabilities. There were a lot of complaints on this front, and the developers have decided to rectify them.
