‘Thor 3’ Flying Back to Theaters on November 3, 2017

Marvel Studios seems to be quite abuzz these days in light of the deal that the company has forged with Sony Pictures on February 10 formalizing the entry of Spider-Man into the Marvel cinematic universe.

Now Marvel has announced the release dates of four of its upcoming films on
Thor, the Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and the Inhumans.

The third installment to “Thor,” titled “Thor: Ragnarok” will hit worldwide theaters on November 3, 2017, according to Marvel Studios.

That’s four years from the last movie in the series titled “Thor: The Dark World” shown in 2013.

As expected, Chris Hemsworth shall continue to play the lead role of the god Marvel superhero.

The studio likewise announced that “The Black Panther” would be hitting theaters on July 6, 2018. “The Black Panther would star Chadwick Boseman which Marvel already announced as early as October last year.

The third Marvel superhero film will be “Captain Marvel” which would have a release date of November 2, 2018. Marvel has announced that Captain Marvel will be a new female-fronted superhero but the company has yet to announce who shall take on the lead role.

There were insinuations early last month however that Jennifer Lopez is interested in taking the part but Marvel Studios has yet to make any official statement about the movie or its casting other than its official release date.

Finally, a fourth Marvel movie which is not about an individual superhero but a group of human beings with superpowers titled “Inhumans” will drop on theaters on July 12, 2019. The “Inhumans” has connections to Marvel’s agents of SHIELD.

SHIELD originally stood for Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage Law-Enforcement Division. It is an espionage and law-enforcement agency in Marvel comics that often deals with paranormal and superhuman threats.

Streamlining its schedules

The announcement of the release dates of the four upcoming Marvel movies from 2017 to 2019 is an indication that the studio will be making some production deadline revisions considering that Spider-Man has already joined the Marvel cinematic universe following the deal between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios on February 10.

Marvel appears to be streamlining its production schedules now especially in light of announcement that the stand-alone “Spider-Man” movie will also hit theaters on July 28, 2017.

And before the web-slinging superhero appears in his stand-alone film, he will first be introduced into the Marvel cinematic universe with his appearance on the third Captain America movie titled “Captain America: Civil War” showing on May 6, 2016. Along with Spider-Man, the Black Panther will also be introduced in the film.
