It’s not rare at all for celebrities to be surrounded by rumors about their romantic life, especially those with a more active fan base in the first place, but Theo James and Shailene Woodley were in a particularly tough spot these last few months, as many of their fans were convinced that there was something going on between the two, and that there was some serious romance developing behind the scenes that we weren’t aware of. In the end, it turned into a major rumor that was going around the Internet quite actively and is in fact still circulating very often.
The two stars have been adamant that there is nothing going on, and there were also reports of jealousy in their own respective relationships. Theo James was apparently particularly badly affected as his girlfriend didn’t find the rumors about his relationship with Shailene Woodley very enjoyable, and apparently had a strong dislike for the way she constantly saw this in the media for some time.
On the other hand, Theo James was reportedly not a fan of the idea of reading about himself on the Internet very often, as he saw it as something that can fuel one’s negative perceptions of themselves with the wrong kinds of articles. In addition to that, he was annoyed with the whole idea of the rumors that surround celebrities on a regular basis and didn’t want to read about the rumors that were going around about himself in particular.
And now, there are reports that Theo James is in the planning stages of a wedding with his girlfriend (or rather fiancée), and this has calmed down at least some of his fans who had been convinced that the star really was dating Shailene Woodley behind the scenes. The alleged romance between the two of them can finally be put to rest, but we’re sure that this isn’t going to stop some of the more dedicated fans from constantly discussing this and playing around with the ideas that are floating on the Internet.
Because in the end, celebrity rumors die very hard, especially when they’re about more major figures like Theo James and Shailene Woodley. Once the rumor has picked up some speed – like this one – it takes some time to slow it down and reassure fans that there is nothing going on. We don’t know what’s going to happen in the future with regards to these two stars, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they were still surrounded by some speculation even after Theo James is already married.
Hopefully this isn’t going to have any negative effects on his marriage, as it wouldn’t be the first time that a celebrity has had to suffer in their private life as a result of malicious rumors going around related to them. It’s possible that he’s managed to get over the issues together with his future wife, but it remains to be seen how this is all going to affect them in the long run.
Some fans have also been taking a more level-headed approach to the whole situation and reminding others that they shouldn’t be so hopeful of a strong relationship between the two celebrities, as after all we don’t really know how well they get along with each other off the set and if they really are such a good match for a couple. Sure, they had strong chemistry on the screen, but it’s a different story outside of a scripted environment.
