Theo James and Shailene Woodley have been getting a lot of attention both from fans as well as critics for their performance in “The Divergent”, and the actors have been in the news for a long time ever since they joined the production of that film. And while most of their fans are focused on the final product, the two actors seem to have a lot that they want to share about their actual experience during the filming process.
They both seem quite happy with how the film has turned out and are particularly fond of each other’s role, and it looks like they were more than pleased to have been paired together like that. Even though the film ends on a bit of a sad note, the actors apparently had a lot of fun during its filming and were still pleased with the final result, and judging by the way they talked about the film, it sounds like they were excited to play those roles before they even got on the stage in the first place.
With regards to the sad ending, it was recently revealed that the film is going to follow the plot of the book very closely in some regards, in particular its conclusion – Tris died in order to save the world in the book, and the character played by Shailene Woodley is going to suffer the same fate in the film. Of course, there will likely be a huge arc for her character before she reaches that point, so fans will get to see Woodley performing for plenty of time before her final demise.
Woodley herself is apparently not taking this very badly though, as she’s just willing to do whatever it takes to get the film right, and if that includes having her character killed off, the actress seems to be perfectly fine with the idea. In fact, we’ve heard claims that this death scene will be very necessary for the proper development of the character of Tris, and it would actually be quite strange to see her surviving after all that will happen to her over the course of the film.
All in all, it looks like both Theo James as well as Shailene Woodley have been very happy with their work on the latest film and they are both very excited to get on the stage yet again. The filming itself hasn’t started yet and it’s expected to commence within a few months, so we’re likely not going to get much in the way of updates until then. After a while though, we should definitely start hearing more about the filming process, perhaps even from the actors themselves. They are generally very open with their fans and always ready to share their experiences from the set, so we don’t doubt one bit that they are going to become even more prominent in their talks about the film once the production actually picks up.
After that, the film should be ready for a March 2016 release – there isn’t that much time to get through the whole filming and post-processing, but we’re confident that the studio has planned everything appropriately and they know exactly what they are doing. Releasing a film under a tight schedule is definitely manageable as long as everything is planned ahead correctly and everyone on the production team is on the same page, and a tighter schedule can sometimes actually benefit the overall work by making everyone more motivated to get their job done on time.
