The name might not sound that familiar to you, but that is typical of a brand new acting talent that has been in a blockbuster or two, but not the main focus. That is what is happening right now with the rise of Theo James and the Insurgent movie trailer that was posted during the Super Bowl. If you saw the trailer, it looks familiar to you because it is the second part in the Divergent series of movies that started last year.
In that film, Theo James is cast as Tobias “Four” Eaton and he takes an obvious liking to the other star of the movie series, Shailene Woodley, who is cast as Beatrice “Tris” Prior. The filming for the first movie started back in 2013 and Divergent was in theaters in 2014. The movie was done very quickly and that is expected to be the same for the second installment to the series. Both actors will be back in the third installment to he series as well. According to reports, Insurgent will be in theaters in March of this year.
Other than Insurgent it appears that Theo James is going to be playing a role in another movie opposite of Amanda Seyfried. That movie is called “Black Lung” and is reportedly going to be an supernatural thriller that features Seyfried as the wife of a miner that can see the end result of a major mining accident. Her husband is reportedly saved from his certain death because of what she knows and now she is under suspicion by the rest of the community.
Besides apparently being able to see things that are about to happen, after this major disaster she can tell what is actually happening inside the mountain that the miners are working in. The movie is not likely to be blockbuster according to some critics, but nevertheless, it is another project that Theo James will be a part of this year.
To add to the list of many movie projects for Theo James, there was a leak this week that shows him on the set of The Secret Scripture. In the still images that were posted on Twitter, you can see the actor in a dark overcoat smoking a cigarette. In reality, the images could be of Theo James taking a smoke break while doing just about anything else, since there is no other evidence of The Secret Scripture movie in the images.
