The Young and the Restless has been on the air for a long time and even if you were watching it twenty years ago, you would not be surprised at the amount of drama the show can bring these days. The show is often referred to as Y&R and is an American soap opera that was created for CBS. As of right now, the series has more than ten thousand episodes and there is no reason for it to stop.
The show is setup in a fictional town in the state of Wisconsin and was premiered back in 1973. At first, you were treated to half-hour episodes, but only a few years later the show went to an hour long episode and it has been that way ever since. There are two main families that are followed in the show and as you might have imagined, one is better off than the other. That makes for better drama that way.
The show is so popular that it has spawned spin-offs and other television shows that are based on soap operas in general. The Young and the Restless is also featured in many magazines and tabloids. The show has been ranked the number one soap opera in the country since 1987. Just like any other year, The Young and the Restless is going to start out this year with plenty of drama and some of those spoilers include a new character being featured this coming week.
If you watched the show up until it went on a break before the holidays, then you know the dramatic story lines are all over the place in terms of emotion right now. The main emotions include guilt, deceit and of course, sadness. Just like any other soap opera, The Young and the Restless has many story lines moving at one time. This gives the viewer plenty of content to sink its teeth into each week. The new character, Jason Thompson, will show up during the shows this week. If you are fan of the show, you can easily find some teasers and spoilers with a simple online search.
In one teaser, Adam is giving Noah advice about the family by telling him to “man up”, but Noah does not look all that confident. The teaser goes onto Victor and him giving Adam a piece of his mind telling him that he has “crossed the line”, so you can only imagine what that was all about. That is when the teaser flips to Chelsea and her asking where her husband went, leading to the fact that Adam might have gone missing. That adds just enough drama for the week and you can watch The Young and the Restless each day on CBS.
Just go ahead and get a new Adam!
