More specifically, they will be developing a game called “Cyberpunk 2077”. It sounds like it will be a drastic shift away from what they’re currently working on, and we can’t wait to see what kind of cyberpunk world they can come up with.
The studio has proven countless times that they have some very talented designers working for them, so anything they come up with should be received very well by sci-fi fans. We don’t have any interesting information about the game to share yet, however.
The cyberpunk genre could definitely use a small revival right now, as it’s been a bit forgotten lately. Sure, we’ve seen some interesting games here and there, but no major titles to shake up the industry like before.
And with a little extra effort, this could be a title with a huge potential. Cyberpunk fans are plentiful in the gaming industry, and they would immediately get behind a project like that. Once we consider the fact that it’s developed by CD Projekt Red too, and if we look at the studio’s reputation among gamers, it becomes clear that this game is going to be a very notable release. And if they support it in the same way like “The Witcher 3”, even better.
