That shouldn’t really be a factor here anyway, since this is a studio with a lot of experience and a strong presence on the market, and they should know better than most what the implications of increasing their development teams are.
If they’ve decided that they need more people contributing to “Cyberpunk 2077”, then they must have calculated that very carefully and they know exactly what they’re doing.
With that in mind, we’re curious about the scale of the new project. Obviously it’s something larger than “The Witcher 3”, but it’s hard to tell exactly what kind of scope the studio has for this project. It could be a small game that simply requires a lot of work, e.g. if it’s heavy on the art.
Realistically, CD Projekt RED are capable of quite a lot. They’ve shown in the past that they’re not only open to exploring new ideas and taking risks in their work, but they also have quite the innovative approach to their gameplay features in some cases.
The studio has developed techniques that were then copied by other games over and over again, and if they have so many people brainstorming the gameplay of “Cyberpunk 2077”, we expect nothing short of an amazing experience from that title. When exactly it’s going to be ready is impossible to tell right now, but we can only hope that the studio will take their time and not rush the project to meet any deadlines.
