The Witcher 3 DLC: What Will Blood and Wine Bring to the Table? Let’s See

After CD Projekt RED are done with this release, they will reportedly concentrate their efforts on “Cyberpunk 2077”. Not much is currently known about the studio’s plans for the next game, but it will most likely be a while until we see anything concrete about it.

There have also been some minor rumors about possible continuations of “The Witcher”, but even if that’s on the table behind the studio’s doors, this is something that will take a really long time to show up on the market. We certainly wouldn’t expect to hear anything about a sequel in the next couple of years or so.

Which is fine for most fans, from what we can tell from discussion boards on the Internet – many would be happy with waiting a long time if it means getting a quality release worthy of carrying the same name, even if we got absolutely no news for several years during its development.

But if the studio can’t find a way to continue the story in any meaningful direction, they should most certainly drop it instead of tarnishing the good brand name. They have a very valuable IP in “The Witcher”, and they probably realize the importance of maintaining it in a good state better than anyone on the market. And that includes holding off on their next release until they are absolutely sure they can contribute something worthwhile to the current situation.
