‘The Winds of Winter’ Author George R.R. Martin Reportedly Done Writing the Book; 2017 Release Imminent as Book is Now on Proofreading Stage!

With the TV series overtaking the novel series, the deviation may become even more obvious which could actually lead to further confusion. Thus, it would be to the best interest of both the TV series and George Martin that the sixth book is released after the show makes its final bow on TV.

There are some fans who are starting to lose their patience on the very slow writing pace of George Martin.

In a tweet late last month, Martin said that he has already written a lot for “The Winds of Winter” already but there are still a lot of things still left to write. He ended his post by saying that he is months away from completing the book.

The social media post doused cold water on fans who once believe the rumors that the sixth book of the fantasy novel series may come out anytime before Season 7 of “Game of Thrones.”

“Game of Thrones” Season 7 will start airing in the summer of next year, which is a push back from its traditional airing date of April over its past six seasons.

That would have bought Martin more than enough time to finish writing the book already considering that it has been reported to be in the final stages from way back in late 2014.
