‘The Winds of Winter’ Author George R.R. Martin Gives a Glimpse of the Important Roles of Euron and Aeron Greyjoy in the Novel!

Meanwhile, there have been rumors early last month saying that “The Winds of Winter” will actually come out in May.

While the speculations sound absurd when it came out early last month because “Game of Thrones” Season 6 is more than halfway through on HBO, some fans still bit the rumors, obviously very excited over “The Winds of Winter,” which have long been rumored to come out as early as October last year.

The rumors started to swirl among fans of “Game of Thrones” and “The Winds of Winter” for a few weeks until George Martin finally said late last month that he is still working on the sixth book and it is not going to be released in May or in the next few months.

That certainly quashed fan hopes and wishful thinking but some critics believe that the delay in the release of “The Winds of Winter” until after Season 6 of “Game of Thrones” wraps up in HBO sometime in June is a good move.

Critics believe that releasing “The Winds of Winter” in the middle of Season 6 of “Game of Thrones” will only add to the fan confusion because the TV series has already gone ahead of the book and that it also reportedly deviated from some of the plotlines too.

Incidentally, the author recently uploaded a changed sample material on “The Winds of Winter” on his website. He said that some fans may know about the change since he mostly does public reading on conventions.
