‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Michonne Joins Shortlist of Possible Victim of Negan; TV Series Returns to the Small Screen on October 9!

Immediately after the polarizing Season 6 finale of the American post-apocalyptic horror survival drama series “The Walking Dead” on AMC, rumors and speculations have been swirling online as to who from Rick’s group is the possible victim of Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and his barbed wire-laced bat named Lucille.

Based on The Walking Dead comic book series, it is going to be Glenn but it could be a misdirect as the TV series has already found a way to deviate from its source material.

The second most likely victim based on fan speculations, theories, and presumptions is Abraham who seems to be courting Negan to strike him during the Season 6 finale as he does not feel fear at all.

Despite threats from AMC that they will file a lawsuit to websites or entities who would continue to reveal leaks about the upcoming seventh season of “The Walking Dead,” the internet has never been remiss with new information or possible spoilers for Season 7 of the popular TV series.

Recently, leaked photos from The Spoiling Dead Fans hinted that Michonne has been added to the shortlist of those whom Negan might have beaten to a pulp with Lucille during the Season 6 finale.

According to the report, Michonne could be Negan’s victim to fuel more rage and inflict more pain to Rick and the viewers as well, reports Movie News Guide.

But it would also be a risk on the part of the producers and showrunners because Michonne has evolved to become one of the fan-favorite characters of “The Walking Dead.”

Returning to the small screen in October

Meanwhile, AMC has announced that the official premiere date of “The Walking Dead” Season 7 would be on October 9.

In fact, on June 13, Norman Reedus, who plays the popular Daryl Dixon in the TV series, posted on Twitter that “The Walking Dead” will return to AMC in 118 days, which exactly falls on October 9.

The actor also said in a recent interview that the dynamics of the characters in “The Walking Dead” will change in Season 7 and viewers will definitely see a shift of power completely on their show.

Reedus could be referring to the process of Rick Grimes and his group to start all over again because of the arrival of Negan and his Saviors.

The 5 characters who made impressions

Yahoo! TV has a different take on the possible victim of Negan and it based its theory on the five characters who made some kind of different impressions on the leader of the Saviors.

Accordingly, these characters are Rick, Carl, Maggie, Glenn, and Abraham and one of these five is the likely victim of Negan and Lucille.

It is likely that Negan would spare Rick and Carl, whom he described as the little future serial killer.

He described Maggie as looking very shitty. Glenn also got his attention when he freaked out and appeared to protect his pregnant wife when Negan said that he would end her miseries by killing her.

Then there is Abraham who seems to have volunteered himself for the honor of being sacrificed to Lucille. But Negan replied to him with an enigmatic ‘Huh.’

From the aforementioned speculations, the only two persons who have been consistent on the shortlist of possible Negan victim are Glenn and Abraham. That could actually fuel some kind of betting among fans of “The Walking Dead.” Not unless series creator Robert Kirkman pulled a surprise and he tells the other showrunners to kill an entirely different character during the Season 7 premiere.

Norman Reedus also said that the entire planet is going to explode for the Season 7 premiere of the popular show when it returns to the small screen in the fall of this year.
