The seventh season of “The Walking Dead” will be well on its way to TV screens this October and filming is already underway.
According to The Spoiling Dead, the cast has already started filming the third episode. The cast and crew were spotted at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta while filming.
Fans are excited to know the truth behind the Season 6 cliffhanger – who gets crashed under Negan’s Lucille.
Also, it has been revealed that Ezekiel and his pet tiger, Shiva, will most likely make an appearance in the upcoming season. Movie News Guide reports that the role of Ezekiel has already been cast but AMC has been keeping the news under wraps.
Rumors say that Ezekiel and his pet tiger might have important roles to play in the upcoming season. It will also be interesting to see how Shiva will be making her debut on the show in terms of animations or real shots.
Design & Trend reports that the iconic comic book tiger won’t be played by an actual tiger. Instead, she’ll be a mix of CGI and animatronics.
Reports say that it will be hard for the studio to film an actual beast especially if it will have too much exposure.
In the original source material, Ezekiel, also known as King Ezekiel, is the self-proclaimed king of a community called The Kingdom. Ezekiel is the friend of the hilltop colony and owns a tiger named Shiva for a pet.
Ezekiel and Shiva’s relationship was formed when the former saved her from a fatal bleeding shortly after the outbreak. Although she’s mostly caged, she also often helps the residents of The Kingdom take down a large swarm of walkers.
Details about how Rick and the crew will come across Ezekiel and his community are still vague but speculations say Carol will play a huge role in that connection. Reports say that the character might appear in the second half of the season.
However, The Spoiling Dead Facebook page suggests that the third episode of Season 7 will partially take place at Ezekiel’s lair as Rick and the crew will find themselves lost in The Kingdom.
Reports say this is to probably introduce the crew’s new threat and to tease fans on what Ezekiel, Shiva, and The Kingdom could bring to the season’s plot lines.
Speculations say that the first half of the season will still deal with the major cliffhanger last season and Negan’s wrath.
According to Comic Book, Melissa McBride’s Carol could be the one in danger. In the comics, Carol meets her demise when she committed suicide by feeding herself to the walkers.
Fans will remember that during the Season 6 finale, Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan used his Lucille on one of Rick’s group.
While the comic book revealed that it was Glenn who suffered the wrath of Negan, nothing can be assured in the TV series especially given Carol’s emotional state.
The Inquisitr reports that it’s not always that the fate of a “The Walking Dead” character can be determined by Robert Kirkman’s graphic novels.
In the comic book, Lori and her unborn baby died due to the plague but the TV series saw Lori dying out of childbirth. The baby, named Judith, somehow survived.
The website reports that it could be Lauren Cohan’s Maggie and her unborn child that died under Negan’s Lucille. In the comic books, Maggie had a successful pregnancy and childbirth.
After Glenn died in the hands of Negan, a war broke out. It was Alexandria, the Hilltop Colony, and the Kingdom against Negan and the Saviors.
According to the original source material, Maggie ended up delivering a healthy baby, whom she named Herschel after her deceased father.
