The upcoming third episode of Season 7 of the American post-apocalyptic horror survival drama TV series “The Walking Dead” to be aired on November 6 will focus on Daryl being taken by Negan, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and the Saviors to their home turf, which they call as the Sanctuary.
The scene happens moments after Negan made Rick submit to his wishes after he instructed him to cut off the hands of his son Carl during the first episode. Eventually, he stopped Rick from doing it and let the team from Alexandria go to work for him but not before taking Daryl hostage as sort of insurance.
There was a break in the Negan story in episode 2 as it focused on Morgan, played by Lennie James, and Carol, played by Melissa McBride, being taken to the Kingdom under the leadership of King Ezekiel, played by Khary Payton.
The focus of the upcoming third episode will be on Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus, and how he feels responsible for the death of Glenn, played by Steven Yeun.
The third episode is entitled “The Cell” which would mean the place where Negan would put Daryl into. After the arrangement that Negan has agreed unilaterally with Rick, Daryl is now aware that nobody from his team would come to save him, notes the Independent of UK.
It would be interesting if Negan has succeeded in instilling fear in Daryl, whom fans of “The Walking Dead” have yet to see but it is possible that it would also happen considering he is the captive.
A possible way out for Daryl
Based on the spoilers, leaks, and also in the comic book source material of “The Walking Dead,” Daryl may find an unlikely hope in Dwight, played by Austin Amelio.
Fans can very well recall that Dwight has been the worst kind of villain – the unthreatening minion who has committed horrible acts such as killing Denise or stolen Daryl’s motorcycle, among others.
But based on the trailer for the upcoming third episode of “The Walking Dead” Season 7, it seems that Dwight’s about to be fleshed out. Apparently, Dwight would ensure that he stays in Negan’s good books by following the rules the Saviors leader seems to have in place.
Sherry, played by Christine Evangelista, in the early goings of Season 6 would be back in the upcoming episode. She was the companion of Dwight when they attempted to run away from Negan and the Saviors.
She was quoted as saying in the video clip telling Daryl that he should go back while he can, adding that whatever Negan has done, there will be more.
As to whether Negan would kill one or more of Rick’s people in the next episodes remains to be seen but it is obvious that the brutality of Negan knows no limits.
Fresh supply of tissues needed
“The Walking Dead” executive producer, director and special effects in-charge Greg Nicotero revealed in a recent interview that he directed two episodes of the TV series that were dramatically different so fans should prepare their fresh supply of tissues, details Yahoo! TV.
He revealed that the first one was the premiere episode and the crying he may have alluded to could be on the death of fan-favorite character Glenn. Abraham, played by Michael Cudlitz, was also a big loss to Rick’s team but he is not as popular as Glenn obviously.
Nicotero did not reveal which is the other episode but seemed to have hinted that it is going to be the upcoming third episode.
As for the things that he was most proud of for the premiere episode of “The Walking Dead” Season 7, Nicotero said that Andrew Lincoln delivered an astounding piece of acting and so was Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
He also lauded the other stars of the show including the actors who portrayed Glenn, Sasha, Rosita, and Maggie. Nicotero disclosed that when they shot that scene, Michael Cudlitz was there, but not in the scene, because there was a dummy of him on the ground.
