‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 to Feature the Arrival of Comic Book Characters Negan and Jesus!

The kickoff of spinoff series “Fear the Walking Dead” a few weeks ago, and the recent release of the key art for Season 6 of the American holocaust survival horror TV series “The Walking Dead” on AMC have heightened the fan excitement for the popular TV show which will premiere on October 11.

The poster shows Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, holding several guns behind the series’ acronym “TWD,” notes IGN.

There have been a lot of teases regarding the plotline of “The Walking Dead” Season 6 which started flowing during the ComicCon 2015 held in San Diego, California in July.

Based on recent reports, there will be tension between Rick and Morgan, played by Lennie James, as the latter comes to Alexandria. While the two have been friends in the past seasons of the popular TV show, it seems that there will be some sort of winds of change that would drive a wedge in the relationship of the two while in Alexandria, cites Hollywood Life.

Morgan is a survivor of the outbreak. He met Rick sometime in Season 2 when the latter decided to return to King County in Georgia after waking up from a coma in a hospital.

But instead he finds Morgan and his son Duane taking refuge on the house where the Grimes family used to live. When Duane was bitten by a walker, that’s when Morgan decided to travel too. He seems to have been following the tracks of Rick’s group because after their adventure in the Terminus, Morgan was able to encounter the Wolves, and then subsequently helped Daryl and Aaron escape a bunch of walkers while trapped in a car.

There are also reports that in addition to featuring a possible dilemma for Abraham and Darryl, speculations are rife that “The Walking Dead” comic book characters Negan and Jesus would be coming to Season 6 of the TV series.

Not in good terms

While there has been no confirmation from the show producers about the tension between Rick and Morgan in Season 6 of “The Walking Dead,” the photos and artwork recently released showed that the two series protagonists would not be in good terms.

Some of the teasers also show Rick and Glenn, played by Steven Yeun, sustaining injuries possibly caused by another bout with walkers.

Executive producer Dave Erickson was asked recently if they are planning to have a crossover between the spinoff TV series “Fear the Walking Dead” with “The Walking Dead” sometime in the future, and he said that there are no plans to do so at the moment.

However, he added that he is not discounting the possibility that it could happen sometime in the future.

A new character

It has already been confirmed that Season 6 of “The Walking Dead” would premiere with a 90-minute episode which will reportedly introduce a new character.

Accordingly, the character is a male around 50s or 60s and he is described in the casting call as Narcissistic, egotistical, quick to braggadocio and anger, and selfish. The character is said to be superior in his group but with political charm.

the walking dead

It would appear that the character will be the next big bad on “The Walking Dead” as it has the shade of The Governor, but the producers have yet to reveal the identity of the actor they have chosen to play the part.

Fans of “The Walking Dead” who have been following the comic book series, believe that the character that the show wanted to fill up is Gregory, who is the leader of the Hilltop Colony.
