‘The Walking Dead’ Season 6 to Feature Tension and Inevitable Showdown Between Rick and Morgan!

During Season 5 of the American holocaust survival horror TV series “The Walking Dead,” Morgan Jones, played by Lennie James, appeared only in the first and last episode.

Morgan is a survivor of the outbreak. He met Rick Grimes, played by actor Andrew Lincoln, sometime in Season 2 when the latter decided to return to King County in Georgia after waking up in a hospital from a coma.

But instead, Rick finds Morgan and his son Duane taking refuge on the house where the Grimes family used to live. When Duane was bitten by a walker, that’s when Morgan decided to travel too. He seems to have been following the tracks of Rick’s group because after their adventure in the Terminus, Morgan was able to encounter the Wolves, and then subsequently helping Daryl and Aaron escape a bunch of walkers while the two were trapped inside a car.

Because of his help, Daryl and Aaron brought Morgan to Alexandria, just about the time when Rick just killed Pete on the order of Deanna Monroe, played by Tovah Feldshuh.

While there is no bad blood between Rick and Morgan, it seems that there will be some kind of tension between the two of them when they start living together in Alexandria.

In fact, during ComicCon 2015 held in San Diego, California in July, the first trailer of Season 6 of “The Walking Dead” was shown and it seems to have hinted the inevitable showdown between Rick and Morgan, details the Den of Geek.

A 90-minute premiere

It has already been confirmed that Season 6 of “The Walking Dead” would premiere on AMC on October 11 with a 90-minute episode which will reportedly introduce a new character, notes the Christian Post.

Accordingly, the character is a male around 50s or 60s and he is described in the casting call as Narcissistic, egotistical, quick to braggadocio and anger, and selfish. The character is said to be superior in his group but with political charm.

It would appear that the character will be the next big bad on “The Walking Dead” as it has the shade of The Governor, but the producers have yet to reveal the identity of the actor they have chosen to play the part.

Fans of “The Walking Dead” who have been following the comic book series, believe that the character that the show wanted to fill up is Gregory, who is the leader of the Hilltop Colony.

More new characters

Showrunner Scott Gimple also confirmed that Ethan Embry will be joining the cast as Carter. Gimple added that Ethan shall play a combo of a few characters that the show have not hit yet or were not able to hit in other characters. Ethan is an Alexandrian and has been there the whole time, just minding his own business.

Carter is also a character from the comic book that was mentioned by citizens of Alexandria since he was the one who helped build the wall.

It has also been reported that Merritt Wever will join the cast as an Alexandrian. She would be playing the role of Dr. Denise Cloyd. In the comic books, she is a medic and surgeon.

Then there is Corey Hawkins who has been the first to be confirmed as the new cast member for Season 6 of “The Walking Dead.” He will be playing the role of Heath.

Gimple says that the actor is quite a fun guy to work with. He went straight to the filming with no qualms at all. He is tough and skeptical when the cameras are rolling but a goofy fan when it is off.
