Ever since episode 3 of Season 6 of the American holocaust survival horror drama TV series “The Walking Dead” was aired on AMC on October 25, fans of the show have been wanting to know whether Glenn, played by Steven Yeun, was killed by the walkers or survived.
Because instead of picking up from where it left off after episode 3, the fourth episode of “The Walking Dead” focused on the backstory of Morgan, played by Lennie James, and how he has developed in him the principles of Aikido of not killing any human being.
Then on the fifth episode, it was Rick’s turn to come back to Alexandria and give Deanna and the community an overall picture of how to start rebuilding after the attack of the Wolves during the second episode.
The sixth episode that aired on November 15 showed what happened to Daryll, Sasha, and Abraham after leading half of the herd of walkers away from Alexandria.
It was also on the last episode where Daryll had the opportunity to get a glimpse of the so-called Saviors, the next villain group that the show’s protagonist would have to contend with after almost getting rid of the Wolves.
However, the glimpse on the Saviors is not that comprehensive as Daryll ran into a group of three persons – two females and one male – who seem to be running away from the Saviors because they have apparently taken something that was allegedly not theirs.
Glenn’s fate
The upcoming seventh episode titled “Heads Up” will be the penultimate one before the fall finale episode 8 to air on November 29. After that, “The Walking Dead” would have a two-months-and-a-half break before returning with its episode 9 on AMC on February 14, 2016.
Based on the leaks provided by The Spoiling Dead Fans Facebook page, Glenn is still very much alive, notes the International Business Times of UK.
The Facebook page of the fan site has been quite accurate with its spoiler reports ever since “The Walking Dead” Season 6 premiered on October 11, but since it is not an official production statement or confirmation, the latest leak should be taken with a fine grain of salt.
According to the site, Glenn is alive and managed to escape by hiding under the dumpster and waiting it out until all the walkers are gone. It can be recalled that during episode 3, Nicolas and Glenn were trapped by a huge throng of walkers on a back alley and were left standing on top of a dumpster.
Nicolas decided to shoot himself in the head and fell down to the waiting arms of walkers while bringing along Glenn with him. The last shot of Glenn sees him looking at his body being eaten slowly by walkers. But right off the bat, many fans opined that it was not his body that the walkers feasted upon but that of the dead Nicolas.
As if to show to the viewers that Glenn is already dead and gone, the showrunners actually removed his name in the pre-show credits beginning on episode 4 up to episode 6.
Additional spoilers
Based on the fan Facebook page, it would be Enid who would spot Glenn first from a roof and she will throw him some water down after he gets out under the dumpster.
Eventually, Glenn will make it to the outskirts of Alexandria and he would be releasing the balloons to signal that he has survived the mission as discussed by Rick in episode 2.
Still, the showrunners have put so many things on the table during the past couple of episodes that fans believe that the show should at least put some closure to those before its fall finale on November 29.
