However, towards the close of the episode, she seems to have been troubled by all the darkness in her and how she has become a full-blooded killer.
It seems that the show is prepping itself for the arrival of Negan, who seems to be worst than all of the major characters’ dark sides combined. Unlike the dark sides of the major characters of the TV series which are all pretty graphic, Negan’s trait is all being said in the show through word of mouth by his people and the people of Hilltop led by Jesus.
The scene where Rick executed the remaining Savior by shooting him in the face was shocking and Carol’s dismayed expression says it all as if saying that how savage they have all become. It seems that only Morgan is the remaining pacifist in the group, although, from the way she looked during the final moments of episode 13, Carol might also be joining the cause of Morgan.
Or it could be the other way around, especially when they all find out how ruthless and dark Negan is going to be. Based on the teaser trailer of the next episode, it does not appear that Negan will show up yet. That leaves Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays Negan, two more episodes to come out and bring the confrontation with Rick and his group to a boil.
