We’ll get the newest episodes of “The Walking Dead” in October, and there’s still some time to go until then, but fans of the show are already actively discussing what they might get to see once season 6 rolls around. The possibilities are certainly quite many, and there is no shortage of rumors about the show’s future plot developments.
One of the things we’ve heard recently that sounds more interesting than the mass of other rumors is that one of the characters of the show might get bitten by a walker. This rumor comes from a few fans who claim to have watched the show’s filming in Atlanta, where they saw Abraham getting in a very dangerous situation.
If the reports are true, we will see him tripping over some military walkers caught on a fence, and one of them will have a large weapon strapped to its back. Abraham will try to steal that gun for himself, but this will develop into a very hazardous situation for him, as the walker starts flailing around and very likely bites Abe.
The fans who shared that report went on to say that they heard Michael Cudlitz screaming as he placed his hand over his body. Afterwards, he was shielded by a bunch of umbrellas and returned to his trailer. In about ten minutes, he went out and was once again being shielded as he made his way to his car and made off, not stopping for a wave to his fans like he normally does.
And from what we’re hearing, his character won’t be the only one that we’ll see in a dangerous situation in the new season 6 of “The Walking Dead”. There have also been rumors that Glenn and Maggie will face similarly difficult moments, and new photos have emerged that show both Glenn and his wife Maggie holding guns and looking somewhat beat up, which could possibly indicate trouble for the characters.
It’s worth noting that Glenn is one of the very few cast members that still remain from the first season of the show, accompanied by Rick, Carl, and Daryl. The show has already been quite harsh on him and Maggie, especially after Maggie lost her entire family, and it would be sad to see them getting into even more trouble, but then again, this is part of the way “The Walking Dead” goes.
Daryl Dixon might also be killed off, and this is something else that has been worrying fans lately. He has recently become one of the most popular characters on the show, if not the most popular, and fans would probably not take his departure lightly. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a serious upset in the show’s community if this happened.
But in the end, this show has been running for long enough that we can trust its producers to know what they’re doing. Even if the decision to kill off an important character would end up annoying their main audience, we can still see them doing it if it leads up to something more dramatic and exciting. This show has been largely built on the idea of surprising its viewers, and sometimes it has to go to greater lengths to achieve that.
In any case when it happens though, we don’t usually hear the disappointment resonating among fans for too long. Eventually everyone recognizes the greater plan that the writers/producers had all along and fans start enjoying the new direction that the show is headed in.
