“The Vampire Diaries” skipped an episode this week in lieu of the Thanksgiving holiday. However, when the show returns, a new villain is set to come to Mystic Falls.
TV Line reports that Wole Parks, who will portray Cade, will be introduced in the upcoming episode. Cade is short for Arcadius and it looks like Caroline’s twin daughters might have something to do with it.
The CW has released a trailer for the episode and it looks like the twins are going to visit Cade, who is actually the devil.
While it appears impossible for the twins to do that, fans speculate that the twins have been lured to do so.
A clip also shows that Seline has the twins taken to an unknown location. Damon and Sybil then go to a diner to meet the twins.
Caroline also tells Stefan that if Damon gets between her and the twins, she will kill him without any hesitation. The twins then encounter Cade before a circle of fire is lit.
The teaser also showed that Sybil will go after Enzo and it looks like he won’t be able to resist her latest move. Of course, this all boils down to how Bonnie will feel given how he nearly died the last time she saved him.
The upcoming episode is directed by Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan Salvatore. Fans theorize that Sybil and Seline would not hurt the twins and will instead strike a deal with Cade to get out of their contract.
Reports suggest that the twins’ powers will finally be unveiled in the episode. Another interesting thing to see is what Stefan sees, hears, and understands when he goes into his subconscious.
Fans will recall that Sybil brought Stefan into her mind though her mind-control powers were being subdued because of the tuning fork.
At that time, Sybil informed him that Seline is his sister. However, when he woke up, he couldn’t remember. It looks like the upcoming episode will lead Stefan to remember that fact.
According to the episode’s synopsis, the twins Josie and Lizzie will be in danger from Sybil and Caroline will take drastic measure to make sure nothing harms her daughters.
Also, Stefan pledges to do everything he can to save the twins, while tensions between Caroline and Alaric boil over, leading them to face some harsh realities about the future.
Enzo also finds himself unable to fight off Sybil’s latest motive, while Stefan dives into his subconscious and along the way, sets off a chain of events that leaves him faced with a life-changing decision.
In the last episode, Matt informed every one of Tyler’s death. He also learned that before his best friend died, he was looking for a siren named Seline with Virginia.
Damon goes to Sybil wanting to be free of her mind control, which she denies him off. Caroline and Stefan plot to capture the older Salvatore and put him in a coffin until they can figure out a way to defeat the sirens.
Sybil was able to escape when the Armory discovered Georgie’s remains. She then frees Damon from the coffin, who then decides to fully submit to her.
Meanwhile, Bonnie uses a magical candle from the Armory to keep Enzo inside the cabin. She also lights up the cabin in an attempt to bring back her boyfriend’s humanity.
Bonnie’s risk proved to be a success and the group, without Damon, all say goodbye to Tyler and eventually Elena.
Elsewhere, Matt recognizes that Seline is the siren after Caroline shows her a picture of the twins. That’s when they realize that Seline has taken the kids.
