When the show returns for the first episode of Season 8, fans can expect ‘Steroline’ to pick right back up where they left off with their relationship.
In a recent interview, Paul Wesley said that the relationship of ‘Steroline’ is going to be steamy from the get-go of Season 8.
After seeing the couple struggle all year to overcome magical babies, old lovers, and hell dimensions, it’s nice to know that they’ll be picking up in a happy place. But knowing “The Vampire Diaries,” things won’t be smooth sailing as expected as there shall come the expected trials and tribulations.
There is also the love triangle between Bonnie, Enzo, played by Michael Malarkey, and Damon Salvatore, which could finally have its conclusion in Season 8.
It is possible that Nina Dobrev’s re-entry or cameo appearance might solve the problem once and for all, especially if she reprises her Elena Gilbert role and finally give the fans of ‘Delena’ happiness and closure.
It is also possible that Nina Dobrev’s re-entry into “The Vampire Diaries” Season 8 may be the show’s best kept secret and it is just fitting to finally see her return after missing Season 7.
But there also lies a complication in bringing her Elena Gilbert character back because that would also mean that the show had to kill off Bonnie and Enzo might end up loveless eventually.
