The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Still Uncertain Whether It’s Going to Be the Show’s Last or Not

Fans know that during the course of Season 7, the show has seen Dobrev’s Gilbert through flashbacks and dream sequences.

Nina reportedly insisted on coming into the studio to record the ADR or the automatic digital replacement for her cameo.

Additionally, Plec has recently stated that Nina could opt not to come to the set and the team could just mend together a bunch of snippets from past episodes to build her cameo scene.

When Dobrev left the show, she stated that she will be willing to reprise her role in the series finale. Fans, especially Delena fans, are rejoicing with this news since they have long waited for a reunion between Damon and Elena.

With this, rumors have spread like wildfire that Elena will finally be waking up from her slumber by Season 8. Although this would mean that Bonnie will die. Fans will remember that Kai linked Bonnie and Elena’s body which rendered the life of one to the death of another.

The CW has not yet confirmed if the rumors are true or not. What’s for sure is that “The Vampire Diaries” and its spin-off “The Originals” will be retaining its Friday night schedules on The CW. Most likely, the two TV series will premiere either in September or October this year just like its previous seasons.
