Wesley added that fans love the brotherly love and dynamic relationship between Damon and Stefan, which also counts as among their favorite relationship in the show. He said that the relationship of the Salvatore brothers is one of the most interesting one on the show, having started out as enemies, and then fighting for the love of one girl, they just have so much history together.
Having directed one episode of “The Vampire Diaries” in Season 6 last year, Paul said he shares the same idea with the other directors of the show that flashbacks would really help in establishing the rich history between Damon and Stefan.
For his part, Ian Somerhalder confirmed of the many changes that the producers and the cast members will bring to the show for its Season 7 which will premiere on October 8 at The CW network.
Somerhalder explained that the seventh season of the very popular TV series shall go around more on the relationships than mythologies because of the departure of Elena Gilbert.
He also teased that his character, Damon, will be someone who is going to be super-volatile and very unpredictable come Season 7, apparently because of what happened to Elena Gilbert.
