Nearly every fan of the show thinks that it is going to be Damon, played by Ian Somerhalder, the former real-life boyfriend of Nina Dobrev, with a new female character likely to be introduced in the series.
It turns out however that it is not going to be Damon with somebody else, but the show’s new romantic pair would involve Bonnie, played by Kat Graham.
The oft-abused witch is not just going to be powerful and more alive in Season 7 of “The Vampire Diaries,” she is also going to have her own love interest in the upcoming season.
The report was actually confirmed by co-executive producer Caroline Dries who said that Bonnie will have somebody in the upcoming season, but it is not going to be Damon.
For her part, Kat Graham said that she is not opposed for her character to have a romance with Damon, but she would prefer that Bonnie falls for a fellow female witch. She disclosed that she has espoused to the showrunners the idea of her character having some sexual discoveries about herself.
