‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 to Bring Back the Glory Days of Mystic Falls!

Season 7 of the American supernatural TV series “The Vampire Diaries” will premiere on October 8 on The CW with the first episode titled “Day One of Twenty-Two Thousand, Give or Take.”

Those who were privileged to have seen the Season 7 premiere during the show’s advance special screening recently were one in saying that “The Vampire Diaries” is bringing back the glory days of Mystic Falls as the TV series attempts to recapture the excitement of the first two seasons.

During a past interview, Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon Salvatore, have already said that Season 7 of “The Vampire Diaries” will go back to the racy and weird stuff that viewers have seen and grown to like and love during the show’s first two seasons, considered by fans as the best of the six-year-old TV series.

While the latter seasons have had their share of high points, it focused too much on supernatural mythology and love triangles and not so much on the dark, sexy fun that were the hallmarks of “The Vampire Diaries” during its first two seasons.

Without Nina Dobrev and her Elena Gilbert character, the very popular TV series will sort of make a reboot for Season 7 and those who have watched the premiere episode also believe that “The Vampire Diaries” is on track to have a freaky-deeky season, notes MTV.

Reasons why Season 7 of TVD is a must-watch

There are six key reasons why Season 7 of “The Vampire Diaries” is a must-watch even without Nina Dobrev in it. The first two of those reasons is the fact that the series goes back to being simple again but also quite scary too.

Those who have been swooning over Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, who plays Stefan Salvatore in the TV series, are going to like the seventh season of “The Vampire Diaries” because Damon is going to be wild, while Stefan will be in love again. Unlike in the previous seasons where the brothers will fall in love with the same woman, Stefan will find love in Caroline and Damon would not be involved this time around.

Another reason why “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 is worth watching is the fact that Alaric is going to be shady in it. After the tragic death of Jo and the death of his unborn children, Alaric will be seething in a rage that will take him to a deadly path on course to a possible confrontation with Damon.

The final reason is the fact that Season 7 of “The Vampire Diaries” is all about Mystic Falls all over again. Season 7 returns the show to its roots by putting the good guys at war with an evil gaggle of vampires in their hometown.

Brotherly support

The days, where they are up against each other, are gone as Season 7 of “The Vampire Diaries” will see brothers Stefan and Damon having each other as they take on a new challenge coming their way at Mystic Falls.

This brotherly support was actually in display in the TV series’ poster released by The CW on September 28 with a tagline that reads ‘Heartbreak is eternal,’ details TV Line.\

Heartbreak will indeed play a major role in Damon during the Season 7 storyline and he will employ every tool in his emotional arsenal to accept the fact that Elena Gilbert is gone for good or for a long, long while.

Meanwhile, the trailer of Season 7 of “The Vampire Diaries” on The CW is out and it seems that the excitement will be plenty despite the absence of Elena Gilbert.

The Vampire Diaries Season 7

If there is one thing that the trailer proves before Season 7 premieres on October 8, it’s the fact that the series can actually deliver a gripping and captivating season full of action, thrill, drama, and romance even without its heroine.

The video clip also showed a new batch of villains will be coming to Mystic Falls known as the Heretics. They will arrive and take over the place and tell everyone that anyone who sets foot in their newly-claimed territory will be theirs as well.
