Caroline Dries, executive producer of “The Vampire Diaries,” says that the second half of Season 7 will make viewers feel that they are watching a completely different show.
“The Vampire Diaries” is currently on its customary winter break and will be back on January 29 for its midseason premiere. The TV series used to be aired every Thursday on The CW but because of some programming changes, the network moved it to Friday beginning this year in what some critics feel is an excellent move to solidify its hold on the timeslot.
In a recent interview, Dries said that the second part of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 will begin with an entirely different theme that avid fans and viewers would not expect to see in the popular supernatural romance drama TV series.
She added that the show will be dealing with the fallout from the winter finale both emotionally and plot-wise.
In addition, Dries also mentioned of the significant time jump in “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 since the babies of Caroline will be born soon.
Although they are conceived with the help of magic, the babies inside Caroline’s womb will still have the typical nine-month development stage.
